John R. Nuchereno represented the firm’s clients charged with criminal activity in all Justice, Town and City Courts, as well as in State Supreme and County Court. Throughout his career, Mr. Nuchereno had displayed a commitment to vigorously defending all accused of criminal activity. Mr. Nuchereno had in the area of homicide alone, tried over 50 Murder cases to verdict before juries in various State Courts. He represented individuals accused of all matters of crime, including Homicide, sex offenses, Burglary and theft related offenses, Criminal Mischief, Arson, Welfare Fraud, Robbery, Forgery, Weapons Possession, drug offenses, Harassment and Driving While Intoxicated.
Mr. Nuchereno had been awarded by the Erie County Bar Association’s Aid to Indigent Prisoner’s Society its Attorney of the Year Award. He lectured frequently to other criminal lawyers and was on the Adjunct Faculty at the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School, where he taught in the area of Criminal Law.
Mr. Nuchereno had authored many publications involving the area of Criminal Law.
Mr. Nuchereno had tried hundreds of cases and had thousands of hours of experience in the courtroom and was always fully prepared to take any case to trial. When going to trial was not in a client’s best interest, Mr. Nuchereno would use his skill and experience to develop creative solutions and carefully negotiate out of court settlements.
